
The Town of Stilesville is accepting applications on a continuous basis for the position of reserve police officer. Reserve police officer's are dedicated individuals who volunteer their time to serve the community.
THE POSITION:
Upon completion of training, a reserve police officer may perform the same basic duties as a Paid officer. The reserve police officer may patrol a designated area, enforce traffic laws, answer calls for service, transport prisoners, appear in a court of law when required and provide traffic and crowd control at special events and other community events.
PROBATIONARY PERIOD:
Reserve police officer's will complete a structured field training program. During the field training program, the reserve officer is required to work a minimum of 24 hours per month, up to six months. Upon successful completion of field training, the reserve officer is required to work a minimum of 16 hours a month. Upon satisfactory completion of probation, the reserve probationary officer may be appointed as a Approved, reserve police officer.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
21 years of age
U.S. Citizen
High School or GED Diploma
No Felony Convictions
No Crimes of Violence
Person of good moral character
Successful completion of a background investigation, polygraph testing and medical and psychological examinations.
